Primary Responsibilities

Able to multi-task and work cross functionally with other departments.
Accepts prescription renewal requests from direct patient telephone calls, electronic provider requests, voicemail, and/or faxed requests.
Monitors and processes incoming prescription refill requests
Review’s prescription refills for accuracy under provider direction
Reviews patient’s medical record before refilling prescription to check for allergy status and need for office visit or lab testing according to established guidelines.
You must have been in your current position for at least one year, not have any progressive discipline within the past six months, and your most recent performance appraisal must be a meets expectation or above

Skills

Knowledge of online authorization systems and status review.
Must possess excellent computer skills to input and retrieve clinical information.
Ability to track in-process authorizations from multiple sources.

Education

High School diploma/ GED required
Certified Medical Assistant certificate and or licensed pharmacy technician preferred
Must have worked at least one year in a medical office and or similar role.

Responsible for Scribing/Documenting office visit on computer for Providers
Ensures that all necessary information and materials are present for clinician prior to the patient visit.
Receives and communicates information through various processes, including (but not limited to) use of computers, Intranet, e-mail, fax, and documentation in patient’s medical record. Follow HIPAA rules and regulations.
Ensure that all appropriate equipment is in good working order at the beginning of the day and that adequate supplies are available for patient procedure/visit. Ensure appropriate levels of supplies and inventory for office needs by utilizing the appropriate request system while understanding the importance of cost containment.
Obtains and electronically records an accurate history of Present Illness; updates patient problem list, allergies, pharmacy, medication list and history of skin cancer as indicated.
Instructs and teaches patients after care for surgical and cosmetic procedures. Ensure patients show understanding and document this in the patient’s chart.
Shows understanding of and can assist with preparation of cosmetic procedures.

Clinical Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To,

Escorts patients to the appropriate room, accurately obtains and records history and chief complaint to practice standards.
Prepares patient for the appointment based upon the diagnosis, procedure and or practice protocols. Includes proper dress (gowns), proper set ups for the procedure to be performed etc.
Performs proper pre-visit procedure under the direction of the physician or other health care provider prior to the patient’s visit (suture removal, dressing removal).
Observes and reports any abnormal symptoms or behavior to appropriate licensed personnel.
Organizes and prioritizes daily work tasks to ensure the Physicians/NP’s schedule runs smoothly and all patient needs are met.
Utilize standard precautions in room preparation and while assisting with procedures/exams.
Perform appropriate specimen collection (including labeling, ensuring the specimen is in the bottle and practice protocol).
Records and maintains pathology logbook to ensure that all pathology reports have been properly documented.
Provides and reviews appropriate instructions to patients regarding procedures or testing.
Provide patient with written educational material.
Maintain confidentiality and patient rights in interactions with the patient/family and other health care workers.
Performs suture removals, wound cultures, patch testing, phototherapy, and other procedures as directed.
Knowledge of sterile field, instrument packing and sterilization.
Performs proper dosing and mixing of medications Buffered Lidocaine, Kenalog, Sclerotherapy preparations, Botox- Cosmetic & Hyperhydrosis, etc.
Seeks advice from a provider when needed for treatment adjustment or complications.
Utilizes Team Leader as a resource.
Basic knowledge of cosmetic procedures.

Physical Demands

Stand for extended periods of time; push, pull and reach; occasionally bend, sit, stoop and stretch
Have full range of body motion, including handling and lifting of patients
Have the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity needed to operate medical equipment (e.g. Xtrac Laser)
Have a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports; specific vision requirements close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

Licensure, Certification, Registration BLS Certification is required or will have to be obtained. Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required to communicate with patients, family members, physicians, and other health care providers, as well as other colleagues in a positive, professional manner. Must possess excellent computer skills to input and retrieve clinical information. Utilize critical thinking and good judgment in performance of tasks. Sr. QA Engineer

Our Product Engineering team has been tasked with building a technology platform to service the needs of medical aesthetic professionals and patients. We’re poised to release our platform, Allē, this year to an audience of nearly 25,000 providers and 6 million consumers. We’re looking for a Sr. QA Engineer who is interested in working within a startup-oriented environment while having the backing of a large company. If that’s you, please read on.

You will:

Write primarily JavaScript based automation test scripts for multiple applications including web, mobile (iOS, Android) and APIs.
Create, deploy and maintain test automation frameworks.
Perform code reviews of unit, integration and end-to-end tests.
Organize and execute user testing that spans across an array of browsers, devices, email clients, network speeds and accessibility constraints.
Define and improve testing practices, tools and process with the goal of verifying new features and preventing regressions.
Document and communicate a QA strategy for the Product Engineering team.
Establish a process for reporting, organizing and prioritizing issues.
Create detailed test plans based on product requirements.

Qualifications

Required

Experience & Technical Skills:

5+ years as a QA Engineer or Software Engineer, with a strong background in QA process, techniques and tools.
In-depth familiarity with a variety of testing methodologies including unit, integration, functional, manual, load and regression.
Experience writing tests using tools like Jest, Mocha, Enzyme, Cypress, Puppeteer, mabl, Detox and Artillery.
Strong familiarity with CI/CD.
Experience with Amazon Web Services.
Experience with application monitoring and logging tools like DataDog, CloudWatch, etc.
Experience testing GraphQL a plus.
Experience testing mobile applications built with React Native a plus.

Proven track record of successful deployment of fully automated classification, regression, clustering or recommendation models at scale
Familiarity with popular machine/deep learning techniques such as boosting, bagging, Bayesian inferences, clustering, anomaly/outlier detection, recommender systems, recurrent neural network, and time-series forecasting
Professional experience with deploying and managing multiple production grade ETL pipelines at scale
Experience with writing enterprise level code to process, transport, analyze, and store data within SQL and NoSQL databases
Expert level proficiency in Python
Proficiency in SQL
Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Git version control
Experience with managing and architecting solutions on AWS or similar public clouds
Experience with building Batch and Streaming pipelines with Apache Spark is a plus
Good understanding of serverless technologies (such as AWS Lambda and Step functions or similar cloud providers) is a plus
Developing high performance API to expose data products is a plus
BS or MS in Computer Science or related field; or comparable experience/certifications

Board requirement: Board certified or Board eligible

Schedule:Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm / 1 hour lunch no call, no weekends

Setting:Outpatient only

Procedures: EMG and/or botox helpful but not required

Census: 8 to 12 patients per day

License requirement: Must have active TX license before presentation
